THE LAKEHOUSE
THE IDEA HAD BEEN
THERE FOR YEARS
Its moment arrived when I was least certain what came next.
Coming out of the pandemic, responsibility suddenly gave way to space.
More space than I knew what to do with.
I had lost direction.
So I returned to an idea I’d been carrying for years.
I asked a group of friends if they would come with me into the Australian landscape and make a book.
They said yes.
WHAT FOLLOWED WAS
RAW AND UNGUARDED
Masculinity without the performance.
Strength alongside vulnerability.
Bodies against the heat, distance and harshness of an Australian summer.
THE LAKEHOUSE became something I needed to make at exactly the moment I needed to make something.
Since its release, proceeds from the book have gone to Beyond Blue.
Its moment arrived when I was least certain what came next.
Coming out of the pandemic, responsibility suddenly gave way to space.

So I returned to an idea I’d been carrying for years.
